Chalet Description:
Enjoy a
weekend getaway at your own private and romantic mountain cabin overlooking
the Shenandoah Valley, near Luray, Virginia. Stay for a week and get to know
the area even better while enjoying a significant discount.
Perched on historic
Massanutten Mountain near the New Market Gap, between Luray and New Market,
Spruce Mountain Chalet offers a spectacular view of the valley and the Blue
Ridge Mountains. No matter what the season, the view from this romantic
getaway cabin is breathtaking.
The chalet's cozy country
atmosphere invites you to relax and unwind. Linger by the fireplace on a
chilly evening with that someone special, or lounge on one of the chalet's
three decks when the weather is warm. While the chalet has two bedrooms,
one and a half bathrooms, and can sleep a maximum of five people, it is also
the perfect romantic retreat for two.
Our goal is to make
your stay memorable, so you'll find little extra touches like the chocolates
on your pillow. You
need look no further than our guest book to find that Spruce Mountain Chalet
is some place special. Some of our guests love the chalet so much they've
been coming here for years, and return guests often book their reservations
a year or more in advance!
There's
lots to see and do in our little corner of Virginia. You can hike or ride
horseback in Shenandoah National Park, fish, canoe, or tube on the
Shenandoah River, ski at one of two nearby ski resorts, shop for antiques
in quaint little towns, taste wine at a nearby vineyard, enjoy the famous
Luray Caverns, hike the trails of the George Washington National Forest,
visit one of the many historical sites in the area, or just take a drive on
the beautiful Skyline Drive (listed in National Geographic's Guide to
Scenic Highways).
The chalet is just minutes
to Luray Caverns, New Market Battlefield, the Shenandoah River, and the
beautiful Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park.
